-So I signed up for DiaCon Alley this summer. This will be my first fannish convention since...oh, that SFX thing about a decade ago. Very excited about that.

In non-spoilery TV news, I just watched the Dirty Little Liars pilot (I love my trashy teen shows, don't judge!), and did a double take when I saw Bianca Lawson (of Kendra from BtvS fame). Playing a teenager. According to imdb, she's born the same year as me. Don't get me wrong, she looks pretty damned fantastic, but what kind of crack were the casting people smoking? I mean, I'm often mistaken for younger, but the idea of trying to pass as a teen...lol, no. Ah, the mysterious rules of teenage!TV land. Giving reality the middle finger since Andrea of 90210.

I'm thrilled that Bianca is working. I just wish there were more roles for what she is: a beautiful, talented, adult woman. But TV land apparently likes to pretend the only ages that exist are teens (maaaybe early 20somethings)...and their parents.
