 So renewals/cancellations have been announced. I'm very behind on Agent Carter but was still gutted to hear it's been cancelled. Part of me is wondering whether it's worth watching S2 now, especially since I hear it ends in a cliffhanger, but I don't want to miss out in what's already there. Oh well. Farewell to Peggy and Jarvis. It's been a hell of a ride!

 

In happier news for female-headed shows, Supergirl has been renewed for another season AND moving to the CW! Hopefully that means more delightful Flash crossovers in the future. :D

Season 2 is definitely worth watching - the cliffhanger only affects one character you already know and hints at another who is introduced in Season 2. Most characters have a solid ending to carry on with.

That's good to know, thanks! I'll definitely give it a watch. And pray that Netflix or someone picks it up.

I agree. I found S2 better than S1 and well worth watching.

Yes, I thought so too. I was fairly unhappy with the first 5 episodes or so, because I felt they were saying rather than showing too much when it came to Peggy's competence, and also overly stressing her connection to Steve. To me it came off as defensive, both in assuming people wouldn't remember or value her for who she was, and in assuming an action heroine leading her own show needed some kind of explanation.

However is S2 Peggy just gets to be Peggy and I thought the way they dealt with the extra burdens women share was better woven into the plot and backstories. I was sorry to hear that the series won't continue.

I enjoyed season 2.

I haven't been able to watch Supergirl, but I'm hoping with its move to CW, that means I can watch season 1 and 2 from Hulu. That'd be perfect.

Supergirl is definitely worth checking out. It takes a while to get its groove on, but it goes from pure cheese to surprisingly compelling viewing. Lots of strong women in the cast too!
