I feel kind of guilty, for even considering getting a paid LJ account. On the one hand, I'm not about to forget all the ways LJ screwed us over, or to discount the possibility there will be further screwing (with no lube!) in the future. Leopards, spots, etc.

On the other hand...IJ is kind of dead, and I miss my icons.

Argh. Decisions, decisions!

I'm afraid I am continuing to have a paid account, because I do love my icons, and I have a lot of photos in the lj albums....
I'm still enjoying the communities here (I'm probably lucky that I was never into fan fic since that seems to have been where all the drama was)

I particularly love seeing you here, and I hope you are enjoying (and not working too hard)!

yeah, you're right... it was a lame costume, but it was fun to wear all my election gear!

I've been spending a lot of time here at obama_2008 because they always link all the best election news... live journal does have a lot of different groups, but I don't go to very many of them....

IJ is pretty dead, I admit. Although I'm not getting a paid LJ account because I've sort of fallen out of the habit of using online journals at all, thanks to the extreme deadness of IJ. I have no idea what's going on with LJ politics at the minute, either. I always relied on you for news of LJ's bad behaviour, to be honest!

IJ is soooo dead. But I kind of like the idea of Dreamwidth (http://www.dreamwidth.org/), the brainchild of synecdochic, among others. I just wish it won't end up as dead as IJ, because the idea is so cool.
