I liked that she saw the potential in Deb. I would be speculating on what this might mean on their future dynamic as reluctant allies/frenemies, but I suspect Deb will have other stuff on her mind.
And depending on what will happen with Dexter, how Deb will react and whether everyone learns about Dexter or not, it could add a whole other level of interesting to Deb and Laguerta's dynamic.
