I can definitely see the comparisons of comics to soaps-they go on forever, time doesn't move like in the real world, everybody has a secret child/evil twin, etc. And the X-Men are more soapy than most titles.
Damn, I need to read DC at some point (and then I can join in on the reboot bitching). I've downloaded a bunch of titles, but I can't work up the motivation to undertake this herculean reading task...especially when back issues of Marvel keep sucking me back in. But I always thought the bits I hear here and there about the Bat family sound so intriguing...
