I didn't even know it was supposed to be a trilogy until after I'd seen it! With that in mind, I kind of wish we got more of the friendship too, but there's no reason the sequels can't be just as slashy (and really, they keep going back and forth on the whole "enemies" thing in the comics too).
And aww, I like poor Wolverine, overexposed as he is.
