I just heard last night that Chris Hemsworth was recommended by Joss to be Thor(!)... turns out he starred in 'Cabin in the Woods' (which Joss & Drew Goddard made together).
BTW it looks like Cabin in the Woods will FINALLY get released this October, Lion's Gate bought it from MGM, and they just showed it at Cannes where it was liked...
