I'm really not sure how it happened with TOS. I just wanted to refresh my memory a bit in light of the new movie, because I only watched it as a kid and had forgotten nearly everything, and now I'm somehow hooked and can't stop watching despite the laughable 60s special effects and the gender roles that are grating on my nerves. Oh, well, I'll finish and then devour all the new Trek fic. There's bound to be some good stories since this fandom seems to have now exploded.
