I’m overdue for an update, but due to lack of actual content, I’ll do the ‘ask me a question, any question’ meme instead.

You know the drill, any question, no matter how random and personal, and I’ll do my best to reply. If you want, you can repost this in your journal.

okay... um... what do you want to be asked?

[identity profile] ishtar79.livejournal.com 2007-11-03 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, you decide, it's kind of the point.

[identity profile] embers-log.livejournal.com 2007-11-03 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
but but THAT was my question! Joss Whedon once said that the question he always wished he was asked is "have you lost weight?"
but when someone I know asked him that they felt that he didn't remember that he had said that.....

okay, okay, my question is: when are you coming to the USA?

[identity profile] ishtar79.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it's purely a financial thing-I really want to visit the US, but it's not a cheap trip. I guess when I get a job? And enough vacation time, because I think I'd need two weeks minimum to see stuff.

Oooookay. Apples or peaches, and why?

[identity profile] ishtar79.livejournal.com 2007-11-03 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I love peaches, but I eat apples daily. More filling, and less messy to eat.

Favorite book and movie and why?
Also, what languages do you speak/read?

[identity profile] ishtar79.livejournal.com 2007-11-03 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
My favourite book probably remains The Neverending Story. It's one of the few books I read as a child that I enjoy equally as an adult.

Movie...well, I'll cheat and go with Serenity. There are many other I like, but this is one I can get *fannish* about.

I speak and read/write English, French, Bulgarian and Greek, at approximately the same level. I speak some German, but still at the beginner level.

Hi, btw, nice to meet you. :)

Yes, me too! Um question. What would you do if you won a million euro?

[identity profile] ishtar79.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, that one's easy to answer, because who hasn't fantasized about that scenario?

Buy my mum a house and other nice stuff, give at least 200.000 of it to local enviromental charities (or even start one of my own, because working with animals is kind of a dream) and travel, travel, travel! I don't care for clothes, cars and other status symbols, though I would probably splurge out a bit on boots and DVDs (like for all my TV fandoms).

Hi! I friend without notice because I am silly that way.

English, French, Bulgarian and Greek... that is quite impressive. I speak only English fluently but have studied (and forgotten) French, German, Japanese and Vietnamese.

I read The Neverending Story about a year ago (I'd only seen the movie when I was little) and quite liked it. Unfortunately my favorite books from when I was little, the Narnia series, are less readable to me now.

[identity profile] nemesister.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
That was my favorite book, too! Still don't know how I like it as an adult. I really need to do this reread.

Anyway, important question, late as I am: Stones or Beatles?

[identity profile] ishtar79.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Stones! I'll probably be struck down by the musical deities for saying this, but for the most part I find the Beatles a bit...boring. There are some songs I like, but mostly, I don't see what the big deal is.

My question: any idea whether and when you'll be coming again to Germany? :-(

[identity profile] ishtar79.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry honey, not anytime soon. I'll visit my dad eventually, but if I get some money, I'd rather travel somewhere I haven't been first.
