I thought Lena Hadley was perfect as Cersei. She brought something more human, more vulnerable to the character than we ever get to glimpse in the books where I think she`s pretty much a caricature.

And, yes, I agree most of the casting was spot on, specially Tyrion and Viserys whose actors`s performances really stood out for me.
