I also like the way the writers build up the dragon as the Mysterious, Wise, and Cryptic Old Sage, and then you see just how badly he wants Uther dead and it startles Merlin because it's not actually that noble and Uther isn't pure evil and AND I LOVE IT ALL OMG. I LOVE UTHER. HAVE I MENTIONED THIS? SURE, ARTHUR/MERLIN SLASH IS CUTE BUT UTHER UTHER UTHER UTHER UTHER.
